After 13 years and 144,000 miles, it is time to say goodbye. The Ranger blew a hose and stranded me during my morning commute. Waiting 3 hours at an abandoned gas station for a tow truck didn’t help my mood. The repair was $1,100 and the truck is worth maybe $3,500. It quickly became evident that this was not a financially healthy relationship.
